Alright, so here's the lowdown on making email work for your business:

1. Know What Type of Contacts Are On Your List And Segment: Don't just blast emails out to everyone, be intentional. Think about how you can easily segment your list the most simple way possible. As you grow, you can segment your list more deeply. To start; Segment your list based on clients & leads. Your objectives for each segment are likely different. Cater your email outreach to align accordingly.

2. It's Personal: A "Hey [First Name], how's it going?" feels way more inviting than a generic "Dear Customer."

3. Looks Matter: Make sure your emails look snazzy on mobile. We're all glued to our phones, after all.

4. Be the Friend Who Always Brings Gifts: Regularly drop value bombs. Tips, insights, the occasional dad joke - keep it fresh and valuable. (PRO - TIP: Think of topics that will educate and inform your audience. Think in terms of "how to's, this vs. that, pros and cons, why this doesn't work, what will work better, how to overcome, etc..")

5. Clear Directions: Make sure your email has a purpose. Whether it's sharing a fun fact, a sale, or an invite to a cool event, make it clear.
